Celebration of Mathematics Day
The Mathematics Club observed Mathematics Day on 14 Jan 2021. Generally we observe this day on 22 December but as students were in exam mode then, the celebration was defered to a later date.

The day began with prayer and an assembly that highlighted the importance of Mathematics in our lives. Tribute was paid to Srinivas Ramanujan, the Mathematics genius as we explored his contribution to Mathematics. Thereafter, it was time to energise our brains as we enthusiastically participated in solving brain teasers, playing a Math Bingo and had a kahoot quiz. The programme was guided by Ms Angelina Nunes and Ms Nikita Rebello. The entire Mathematics pedagogy students coordinated to have a funfilled day. Principal Dr Mabel Pimenta applauded the students for their finesse in handling the programme. Faculty members Dr Sheetal Chaudhari and Dr Cynthia DCosta shared their thoughts and appreciated the efforts of the students.

Mathematics Trail
On 7th March 2020, Pushpaganit Mathematics Club organized the Mathematics Trail for the first year and second year B.Ed. students by visiting Tamtalao lake garden. It was a great learning experience that helped to see Mathematics all around us. Mathematical concepts were found in various things such as the stage was quadrilateral in shape, the biogas plant was cylindrical, the steps was an example of Pythagoras theorem , counting the number of polls used for railing... Correlation between various subjects was actualized through this
experience. It not only helped the students discover new things about their community at the same time that it sharpened their mathematical thinking. It was interesting to learn mathematics out of the class room.
